As demand for her services grew, Bren realized she had more on her plate than she could handle. It soon became evident she needed to formalize the services she provides, become licensed, and bring additional caregivers into the mix. She formed Honeybee Home Healthcare. The company’s name came from her middle name, “Bee.” “I liked the image the name evoked -- bees working efficiently around the hive." Bren has spent much quality time with elderly patients which is only part of the experience she brings to Honeybee Home Healthcare. She has worked in multiple healthcare facets and in clients homes throughout Ohio and other states.
As more Baby Boomers age, the need for high quality, in-home healthcare is growing rapidly. Bren Bee Hoopes recognized that need and launched Honeybee Home Healthcare to facilitate care for seniors in the Cleveland, Ohio area who wish to age in place and disabled individuals who value their independence. But Bren is quick to say it wasn’t a business decision that led her to this venture.

Brenda is nationally licensed in phlebotomy and has served in diverse health-related roles for the Cleveland Browns and the Cleveland Cavaliers. She’s also been a home health aide to countless clients in assisted living facilities and private residencies. “I find working with clients intriguing,” Brenda says. “I most enjoy when I can take my time with them, find out what they like, and get to know all of their habits. Then I can create healing plans through an organic approach."
